When preparing for your notary visit there are a few considerations and things that need to be brought to the notary session:
- Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID with you to your appointment.
- Laws vary by state and some documents may require witnesses in addition to the notarization. In certain situations, a notary might not be legally allowed to also act as a signature witness. Be sure to verify if you need to have a separate signature of a witness when you make your appointment.
